Read and re-read these rights so that you not only know them by heart, but so that they become naturally integrated into your daily life.

• Right to act in a way that promotes dignity and self-respect. • Right to be treated with respect. • Right to make mistakes. • Right to do less than you are humanly capable of doing. • Right to change your mind. • Right to ask for what you want. • Right to take time to slow down and think before you act. • Right to ask for information. • Right to feel good about yourself. • Right to ask for help or assistance. • Right to disagree. • Right to feel that you don’t have to explain everything you do and think. • Right to say *NO* and not feel guilty. • Right to ask why. • Right to be listened to and taken seriously when expressing your feelings.
